New Providence Transport Program
Consulting Services

The Commonwealth of the Bahamas has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to assist in financing the New Providence Transport Program. It is intended that part of the loan proceeds be applied to institutional strengthening of the Government of the Bahamas through the establishment and development of a transport policy and planning unit. The services of individual consultants are sought in the following specialty:
Transportation specialist.
Applicants should:

Have a graduate and preferably post-graduate degree in related field (engineering, transportation)C
Have a minimum of 15 years relevant experience, particularly in the highway sectorC
Have an acceptable evidence of direct involvement in relevant expertiseC
Have experience in a transportation policy and planning unitC
Have experience in similar projectsC
Must be fluent in oral and written EnglishInterested consultants should be nationals of the IDB=s members countries. Expressions of interest (three copies) should include current curriculum vitae and reach the Project Coordinator by 17 June 2002.
