Kingston Urban Renewal Project

The Kingston
Restoration Company (KRC) has received a grant from the Inter-American
Development Bank (IDB) toward the Kingston Urban Renewal Project. The overall
goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life
in inner city Kingston through the design and implementation of strategies for
the regeneration of poor communities. KRC is an urban regeneration agency that
specializes in inner city renewal. KRC is currently implementing a number of
projects in several communities in Kingston and Saint Andrew.
We are seeking
self-motivated individuals who are not afraid of challenges to become members
of a small dynamic and innovative management team. It is intended that a
portion of the grant funds will be applied to eligible payments under the
contract for which this notice is issued. Payments will be made only at the
request of the executing agency and upon approval of the IDB, in accordance
with the terms and conditions of the TC agreement between KRC and the IDB.
The qualifications
and requirements are as follow:

Candidates must
be from the IDB’s member countries.
·
Bachelor degree
in policy or urban planning, public administration, community development or
related applied social science fields.
·
A minimum of
five years of professional and field experience managing community development
activities, public administration, and planning and/or related public programs
in the social sectors in an urban setting.
·
A background in
training and dissemination procedures, management by objectives using the log
frame methodology would be an asset.
