Consulting Firm to Provide Leadership in Developing Activities in Instructional Technology

Loan No. 1264/OC-JA

 

The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) has secured a Loan No. 1264/OC-JA, from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Primary Education Support Project (PESP).  The project will support the development and implementation of activities aimed at improving the delivery of primary level education in Jamaica.  Part of the proceeds of this loan is to fund payments for the procurement of the services of a consulting firm to:

 

·    Develop the Ministry’s capacity to lead, support, evaluate and

coordinate the use of instructional  technologies in Jamaican primary schools;

 

·    Perform a series of carefully monitored and evaluated pilot

 activities in 15 schools of three types: small multi-grader rural schools,

  inner-city schools, and larger rural schools;

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Project Manager, PESP (address above) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$100 or J$4,500 per package Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The payment toward the cost of the bidding documents may be made by a banker’s cheque or demand draft in favour of The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture. Payments in any other form will not be accepted.  The bidding documents will be sent by DHL or electronic mail to bidders outside Jamaica but the Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture will not be responsible for any delays in delivery. The bidding documents will be available for sale from the date mentioned below until one day prior to the closing date of the bid. 

 

The time and date on which bids must be delivered to the address below, the required security in the currency of each bid or its equivalent in Jamaican dollars or US dollars, and the date and time of bid closing is indicated below.  Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
