The
Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the Inter-American Development
Bank (IDB) to fund activities under the Primary Education Support Project,
which is seeking to identify supplier(s) to provide the items below.
The
Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture now invites prospective bidders to
collect bidding documents for providing the following:

Computers
and peripherals
·
Local
area networking and equipment
·
Furniture
·
Computer
software and other electronic equipment
Bidders
must be eligible, tax compliant, government-approved suppliers. For
eligibility, individuals or firms must be a citizen of - or be registered in -
a member country of the IDB.
Eligible
bidders may obtain further information and purchase the bidding documents at
the office below as of Monday, 30 September 2002, 1200 hours, for a
non-refundable fee of J$ 1,000 (via banker’s check in favor of the Permanent
Secretary, Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture).
The
proposals must be received by 1500 hours on Thursday, 14 November 2002, and
will be opened at a public ceremony, in the presence of the bidders’
representatives who choose to attend, at 1505 hours, on the 5th floor, Room
500, Building 1, of the address below.
