Construction
of Works for Health Centers

The
Government of Trinidad and Tobago has received funds from the Inter-American
Development Bank (IDB) to partially finance its Health Sector Reform Programme.
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing be applied to the
provision of construction works for the rebuilding, renovating, extending of
several health and outreach centers throughout the Tobago region.
The
centers under consideration are as follows, along with action required:
It
is important to note that the centers are scattered throughout Tobago,
including some remote areas. Each center will be tendered separately.
Interested
contractors are invited to present their respective statements of interest in
sealed envelopes, with proof of their legal, technical and financial capacity.
Contractors
from the IDB’s member countries are hereby invited to submit their expressions
of interest with a view to being prequalified by the Government of Trinidad and
Tobago. Eligibility with respect to nationality will be determined in
accordance with the applicable rules of the IDB. Contractors wishing to
prequalify must complete the necessary questionnaire.
Interested
parties may obtain further information, including eligibility to participate
and may inspect the prequalification documents at the address below.
A
complete set of prequalification documents may be obtained by interested
parties upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TT$ 100 or US$ 16 payable at
the address below by cash or certified check. It will not be necessary to make
the request in person to receive a complete set of the prequalification
documents, since these can be sent by mail.
Statements
of interest must be received at the office below on or before noon (Trinidad
and Tobago time) on 16 October 2002. It will not be necessary to submit
statements of interests in person, since these can be sent by mail. However,
the employer is not responsible for documents not received thereof on or before
the time and date specified for reception of proposals, in which case they wilt
be rejected and returned unopened.
Statements
of interest will be opened at a public ceremony in the presence of those
representatives of firms who choose to attend, at 1230 hours on 16 October 2002
at the same address.
Interested
parties are asked to submit proposals responsive to the prequalification
documents and in the form, number of copies and properly addressed as detailed
in the said documents.
