Health Sector Reform Program

Supply of Ambulances

The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of the Health Sector Reform Program, and it intends to apply part of the loan proceeds to payments under the contract for which this invitation for bids is issued.

The Ministry of Health of the GOJ now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of nine ambulances Type II for (ALS) emergency medical services.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Health and inspect the bidding documents at the address below, from 0900 to 1630 hours.

A complete set of bidding documents, in English, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the same address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of J$ 1,800 or US$ 100. The method of payment will be cashier=s checks. The bidding documents will be sent by courier service. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Bids must be delivered to the address below by 16 November 2001 and will be opened in the presence of the bidders= representatives who choose to attend at the address, date and time indicated in the bidding documents. Late bids shall be rejected.
