Construction of Roads, Drains and Associated Structures

The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank to finance part of the cost of construction of roads, drains and associated structures.
The Low-Income Settlements Program now invites interested parties to present proposals in sealed envelopes, with proof of their legal, technical and financial capacity, for the construction of roads, drains and associated structures.
Interested parties may obtain further information, including eligibility to participate, and may inspect the prequalification documents at the first address below as of 16 April 2002.
A complete set of prequalification documents may be obtained by interested parties on the submission of a written application to the same address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of G$ 10,000 in the form of a manager=s check in favor of the Low-Income Settlements Program. It will not be necessary to make the request in person since the documents can be sent by messenger or mail.
Proposals must be delivered to the second address below by 0900 hours on 4 June 2002. They will be opened immediately thereafter, at a public ceremony, in the presence of the bidders= representatives who choose to attend. It will not be necessary to submit proposals in person, since they may be sent by mail. However, the employer is not responsible for proposals not received by the time and date specified, in which case they will be rejected and returned unopened.
